Fuel Leak

Postby deltadart48 » Mon Apr 26, 2010 2:16 pm

Hi Guys,

Well, on top of finding about the severity of the waterlogged foam issue, on my return from a trip I found the bilge full of gasoline due to a tank leak. I managed to clean up the mess without blowing myself up and now I will begin pulling the tank.

For a repair I'm going to try Caswell Plating's epoxy kit. Also, I'm planning to put a fitting on the bottom of the tank so that water can be occasionally drained out. I'll let you know how it works out.

The upside of this is that it ruined the ugly astroturf carpet so I don't have to looka at that anymore!
